10.30am : On the Arne Peninsula. This is the clay pit worked by ECC Ball Clays but it is not in operation this particular week. The clay originated millions of years ago from a huge river system, which flowed from south-west England. Some of the clay is exported to Spain for tile making.

10.45am : At Russell Quay on the shores of Poole Harbour, sailing dinghies await their junior sailors from Sherborne School.



11.00am : The sunlight catches one of three circular pools created when a stick of German Luftwaffe bombs was dropped on the Peninsula in the Second World War.
