11.15am : On the road back from the clay pit, this is the magnificent view across Poole Harbour and to Brownsea Island.



11.45am : At the entrance to the Bird Reserve, an RSPB volunteer is on duty at the kiosk.



These steps lead to the Bird Reserve and on to Shipstal Point



The rhododendrons make a pretty sight by the path but work is going on to reduce their numbers drastically to return the heathland to its natural state.
